A fatal flaw

I am on the third pair in as many years of this warm, comfortable boot. My complaint is that the material covering the part of the heel that touches the ground, often cement in my case. The material wears out and leaves squares of structure of the heel which allows in moisture or snow. And I have to replace them. The rest of the boot remains in almost as new condition.
